Big news for runners and Disney fans alike — registration for the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is officially open today! This milestone year marks the 30th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, and Disney is pulling out all the stops with special celebrations, themed races, and appearances from the event’s inaugural mascot, Donald Duck.
2027 Race Weekend Highlights
From January 6–10, 2027, athletes of all levels can participate in magical Disney-themed races, including:
- Pluto-themed 5K
- Chip ‘n’ Dale 10K
- Donald & Daisy Half Marathon
- Mickey & Minnie Full Marathon
- Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge (half + full marathon)
- Dopey Challenge (all four races for the ultimate feat!)
Participants will enjoy character sightings, themed entertainment, and unique finisher medals — all while running through the iconic Walt Disney World Resort.
Registration and Fees
General registration opens March 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET. Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members had early access starting March 10. Entry fees vary based on purchase date:
- Full Marathon: $255 (March 17 – September 14), $265 (after September 15)
- Half Marathon: $249
- 10K: $175
- 5K: $125
- Goofy’s Challenge: $495
- Dopey Challenge: $769

Proof of Time Requirements
Runners aiming for faster start groups must submit proof of time:
- Full Marathon: Half Marathon under 2:22 or 10-mile race under official standards
- Half Marathon: 10K or longer race results under official standards
- Proof must come from a USATF-certified course between Jan 1, 2024, and Aug 3, 2026
- Submissions are required at registration and can be updated until August 3, 2026
No proof of time is required for the 5K or 10K races.
